How to choose wholesale activewear
Fabric performance is the whole point here, so read the fiber content. Polyester and poly-blend interlock and jersey knits wick sweat and dry fast, which is what athletic customers expect. For sublimation printing, you need light-colored 100 percent polyester, since the dye bonds only to synthetic fibers. If the customer wants a softer cotton-like hand with some performance, a poly-cotton blend splits the difference.
Decorating synthetic fabrics
Synthetics behave differently under decoration. Polyester is heat-sensitive, so screen printers should use low-bleed or poly inks and lower cure temperatures to avoid dye migration that tints the print. Heat-applied transfers need films rated for stretch and performance fabric so they flex with the garment. Sublimation gives the most durable, hand-free result on white polyester because the design becomes part of the fiber.
